# About Roba

#### Who we are

Roba is the people’s robotics platform. It is the coordination layer for robotics creators and enterprises, turning community contributions into production‑ready assets with verifiable licensing, provenance, and enterprise‑grade marketplace rails. Through a structured challenges funnel and community curation, Roba upgrades talent into builders, enforces standardized quality and evaluation, and routes the best work to buyers.

#### Vision

ROBA strives to make robotics development accessible, collaborative, and scalable through our open robotics Creator Hub platform - the Hugging Face for robotics. An open developer hub where builders create, share, version, and monetize robotics assets (algorithms, models, worlds, datasets, evaluation packs) with full ownership of data, IP, and revenue.

#### Positioning

ROBA is the People's robotics Platform: learn fast in simulation, ship safely in the real world, and get rewarded for contributions. Unlike closed corporate stacks, ROBA delivers unified workflows spanning simulation to real-world deployment with transparent licensing and contributor incentives.

#### North Star: Design-to-Doorstep robotics

Long-term goal: enable anyone to design a robot, assemble its "brain" with a no-code studio, and receive it ready to operate. Today's Creator Hub is the foundation - standardizing models, worlds, skills, and evals. From that hub, ROBA extends into no-code brain building, certified hardware shells, and a D2C storefront.

#### Core Principles

1. **Utility First**: Token exists only where it adds clear value - no speculation theater
2. **Developer-Centric**: Rewards tied to measurable contributions and benchmarked outcomes
3. **Open & Collaborative**: Transparent licenses, reproducible benchmarks, community curation
4. **Enterprise-Ready**: Compliance-aware, governance built-in, audit trails from day one
5. **Scalable**: From classrooms to industrial fleets and consumer robotics

#### Core Product & Enablers

ROBA’s strategy centers on creating a virtuous loop between the Creator Hub (asset aggregation and monetization) and ROBA Studio (the unified simulation and development environment).

**ROBA Creator Hub** — the central place to build, share, version, and discover robotics models, algorithms, worlds, datasets, and evaluation packs. This is the moat: becoming the default hub (“the Hugging Face for Robotics”).

**Enablers**

* **Cloud Simulation (ROBA Studio):** Browser-native curated worlds with ROS/Zenoh and 3D data visualization support.
* **Template Library:** Ready‑to‑run robotics pipelines, pick-and-place, Nav2 navigation, SLAM, perception, calibration, RL agents.
* **Challenge System:** Monthly sprints with measured benchmarks and rewards; surfaces top contributors and fills marketplace gaps.
* **Marketplace:** Vetted listings for worlds, templates, datasets, and evaluation packs; clear licensing from day one.
* **Skill Catalog:** Publish learned techniques (policies, models, motion primitives) as blockchain-linked skills with unique addresses
* **Training & Talent Pool:** Onboard the next generation of robotics engineers and connect aspiring creators with hiring teams.

**Moat anchor:** The ROBA Creator Hub is the moat; the no-code studio, certified shells, and D2C store are the moat drivers at consumer scale.

Consumer Flow (endgame): Create brain (no-code) → Choose shell (certified) → Sim & safety checks → Order → Provision at home (OTA, app) → Operate & update (skill store).
